Terms & Conditions
These terms apply when you book an appointment with ADAM REED or use https://arkivebyadamreed.com. By booking with us or using the site you agree to them.
Appointments & bookings
You can book online through our booking system or by contacting us directly. When you book you’re asking us to reserve a stylist’s time for you. Please give us as much detail as you can about the service you’d like so we can allocate the right amount of time, the final service and price are always confirmed with your stylist at the appointment.
Deposits & booking fees
For some services, or for longer or first-time colour appointments, we may ask for a deposit or booking fee to secure your slot. Where a deposit applies it’s taken off the price of your service on the day. We’ll always tell you before you book if a deposit is required.
Cancellations & no-shows
We completely understand that plans change. If you need to cancel or rearrange, please let us know as far in advance as possible (ideally at least 24 hours) so we can offer the time to someone else. Late cancellations and missed appointments leave a stylist with an empty chair, so we may retain a deposit, or ask for a contribution towards the booked time, against future bookings, we’ll always be fair and talk it through with you first.
Running late
If you’re running late, please call ahead. We’ll always try to fit you in, but to be fair to the clients booked after you we may need to shorten or adjust your service, or rebook it for another time.
Patch & strand tests
For colour and some chemical services your safety comes first. If you’re new to us, or it’s been a while, or you’ve had a previous reaction, we may need to carry out an allergy/patch test, usually at least 48 hours before your appointment, and, where relevant, a strand test. If a required test hasn’t been done, or if the result means it isn’t safe to proceed, we may not be able to carry out the service. This is for your protection and we won’t compromise on it.
Results & consultations
Hair is individual, its history, condition and previous colour all affect what’s achievable, especially in a single visit. We’ll always give you our honest professional opinion at consultation, and sometimes the best result takes more than one appointment. We can’t guarantee an exact outcome, but we’ll work with you to agree a realistic plan before we start.
Prices
Prices shown on this website and in the salon are a guide. Because every head of hair is different, your final price depends on the service, the length and thickness of your hair, and the products and time involved, this is confirmed with your stylist at consultation. We may update our prices from time to time.
Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers can be redeemed against services (and, where offered, products) at ADAM REED. They’re valid until the expiry date shown on the voucher, can’t be exchanged for cash, and any unused balance after the service is non-refundable. Please bring your voucher with you to redeem it.
Products
Unused retail products in their original, unopened condition may be returned within a reasonable period with proof of purchase. For hygiene reasons we can’t accept returns of opened products unless they’re faulty. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.
Our liability
We take real care with every service. Please tell us about any allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions or medication that could affect your treatment, we rely on the information you give us. To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for reactions or results arising from information that wasn’t disclosed to us. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that can’t be limited under law.
Complaints
Your happiness matters to us. If you’re ever not completely satisfied, please tell us as soon as possible, ideally within a week of your appointment, so we can put it right. Contact us at the details on our contact page or on 020 7239 7899.
